Roger is a self-taught, gifted artist who began drawing at an early age under the influence of his artist mother and grandfather. Through the years he continued to enjoy art as a hobby with the intention of someday becoming a full-time artist. Today he is enjoying the culmination of his dream and has made sculpting and painting his occupation. He has reached many milestones on the artist’s road from anonymity to fame since becoming a full-time artist in 1992.
He began with sculpture, carving first in wood. His medium of choice today is Black Hills alabaster, Colorado marble or Minnesota pipestone. Roger turned his attention to painting in June of 2010.
