Moss Shacter and Patricia Geach both grew up in Southern California, surrounded by the beauty of the West Coast beaches. Moss is an avid surfer, and their shared love of the ocean has been a constant influence in their lives. From a young age, they were both drawn to art—Moss worked as an artist and picture framer for many years, while Patricia spent her early adulthood as a stay-at-home mom.
In 2000, they combined their creative passions. What began as simple mosaic designs on fire table tops quickly evolved into a dynamic artistic journey. As their skills grew, they experimented with a variety of materials—tile, stone, and glass—to bring depth, vibrancy, and detail to their pieces. Their work expanded to include mosaics on functional objects such as fountains, consoles, end tables, benches, wall art, and more.
While their earliest designs were inspired by their deep connection to the beach and ocean, new inspiration came from time spent in the desert and mountains. These landscapes sparked mosaics that celebrate the textures and colors of those environments as well.
Collaborating with clients remains one of the most rewarding aspects of what they do—translating their stories and visions into mosaic art challenges them creatively and pushes them to expand their artistic boundaries. Each project begins with detailed drawing and planning, followed by careful selection of materials that harmonize in color, texture, and composition.
They feel incredibly fortunate to have found an art form that brings them joy, passion, and a fulfilling creative career—one they are grateful to share with each other and with those who appreciate their work.
