The creative process can make the difference between living and dying, the difference between despair and joy, and Lexi has explored this process so deeply it became the topic of a TedX talk she gave in Whitefish, Montana.

Over the years her creative pursuits have ranged from oil painting, pottery, and high end jewelry to her current passion for acrylic painting. She is now an internationally recognized expert in acrylics and authored two books on acrylic painting published in six languages.

Over the years her chosen subjects have varied from florals to wildlife to abstracts. Her current work is based on her love of color, regardless of subject matter. The varied textures she employs in her work enhance the rich and lively colors in an exuberance of joy. Moons, or portions of moons, often appear in her work because a moon only reflects the light brought to it, just as a painting only reveals what the viewer brings to it.

Her paintings have taken awards in juried competitions from the international Blossom-The Art of the Flower exhibition to the Avant Garden show at the Torpedo Art Factory and others. Fiber Fusion sent one of her paintings on a tour of the Americas and Europe. Museums that have shown her art include the C. M. Russell Museum, Yellowstone Art Museum, Northwest Museum of Art and Culture, as well as others. Her work has also appeared in multiple books by other authors and can be found in collections worldwide.

A native Texan who studied art at Michigan State University and the University of Toronto, Lexi and her artist husband now own and operate RiverStone Gallery in Ennis, Montana, where the spaciousness of the American West truly inspires her colorful paintings.
