Fine Art Photographer Jon Linton has been immersed in the art world for more than two decades. After earning a liberal arts degree from Eastern Illinois University in 1987, he began his career in New York City with Ralph Lauren before transitioning into the gallery and publishing world. In 1998, Jon founded an art magazine in Arizona, which he published for ten years, and later produced fine art books for many accomplished artists throughout the Southwest and beyond.

Jon’s love for photography began at the age of twelve, when he often borrowed his mother’s 35mm Minolta to capture scenes around his neighborhood. “I loved that old camera,” he recalls fondly. Originally from Chicago, he has called Arizona home for nearly three decades, devoting his time to creating fine art, publishing, and humanitarian work.

In 2012, Jon unveiled I Have a Name, a poignant body of street photography that brought visibility and compassion to those experiencing homelessness. The acclaimed exhibition and companion book traveled throughout the western United States. A documentary film about the work was recently produced and has made its way through the film festival circuit, now being presented at universities across the country including NYU, Berkeley, Arizona State University, and Johns Hopkins University, among others.

Today, Jon dedicates all his time to producing fine art photography that reflects patience, precision, and emotional resonance. Using a state-of-the-art Sony camera, he captures images with intention and depth, refining each through hours of meticulous editing. His final works are printed on Hahnemühle specialty paper, chosen for its unparalleled quality and craftsmanship. As Jon reflects, “A good photograph is seen with the eyes, but a great photograph is felt in the soul.”
