My work is inspired by the luminous landscapes, rich symbolism, and spiritual resonance of the American Southwest. I am drawn to the region’s unique quality of light and its quiet, enduring sense of history—elements that shape both the mood and narrative within my paintings.

I consider myself a Southwest Symbolist, creating visual stories that merge landscape with symbolic animal forms such as ravens, roadrunners, rabbits, and cats. These figures serve as narrative guides, moving through imagined environments that reflect both personal interpretation and a broader sense of myth and meaning.

My background in classical painting, illustration, and entertainment art informs a multidisciplinary approach to image-making. I place strong emphasis on pattern, design, and the interplay of light and shadow, striving to create work that is both structurally refined and emotionally resonant.

A central aspect of my practice is the incorporation of natural materials. Since relocating to New Mexico, I have personally mined turquoise and other minerals, which I cut and polish before embedding them into my paintings. This process allows me to bring a physical element of the landscape into each piece, creating a direct and tangible connection between the subject and the land itself.

Through this integration of traditional technique, narrative imagery, and natural materials, my work seeks to evoke a sense of wonder, beauty, and connection—inviting the viewer into a world where the boundaries between the physical and the imagined are gently dissolved.
