B“What I give to daylight is only one percent of what I have seen in darkness” - M.C. Escher
Logan Peterson imagines a world with breathtaking moments and beautiful art that connects people across all walks of life.
Born and raised in a rural town nestled at the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Logan has been a student of metal work since grammar school. His technique emerged through high school where his creative ability was encouraged by teachers, the community, family and his parents. Driven by a desire to understand how things work, he employs dedication and creativity to transform vision into sculpture. Now holding a degree in Mechanical Engineering, his art continues to develop in complexity and depth.
Logan’s art reflects his spirit with inspiration often coming in the darkness of night. His art is influenced by a blending of nature and industrialism, utilizing re-purposed items alongside a diverse array of metal. The sculpture style is best described as mid-century futuristic Victorian. Implementing a balance of mechanical fluidity and grace, he is able to coax the ridged medium transforming it into his creative concepts.
Sharing the joy of his metal work with others deepens its meaning and purpose. The greatest reward is being when a finished piece finds its way home.
“Art is the most intense mode of individual is that the world has known” - Oscar Wilde
