Color, light and shadows have always fascinated me.  As a contemporary impressionist, I am less interested in attempting to duplicate nature than in depicting interesting shapes formed by shadows and in exaggerating intense colors created by light.

I am an acrylic artist and in recent years have concentrated on mixed media paintings using a variety of found and purchased papers.  I create my paper paintings by gluing printed and painted images, music, text, maps, and even old personal letters to an art panel.   This mixture of patterns, lines and images provides an exciting visual texture in the color fields of each painting.  Each scrap of paper is like a small impressionistic brush stroke that not only contributes to the color and shape context of the painting but tells a story of its own.
