Dusty R. Shutt, born and raised in the Midwest, has always enjoyed the outdoors. Now, living in Colorado Springs, Colorado, at the base of Pikes Peak, Dusty is constantly surrounded and inspired by the natural world. Over the years, she has honed her silversmith skills in order to recreate elements of nature in her hand-crafted jewelry.
Dusty’s life as an artist has led her to express her creativity in a variety of mediums. While she loves to create custom jewelry out of natural stones and sterling silver, she also has a passion for photography, sculpture, and other art forms. Dusty’s artwork can be seen in both private and public collections around the world, and she is so grateful to be able to share her love for nature and art with people from all walks of life.
The other half of the Dusty Shutt Silver, Ltd. team. While he does enjoy designing certain pieces of jewelry, he really wraps his head (and hands) around the stone cutting, especially the different varieties of turquoise.
Using stones that either he or Dusty have hand-crafted along with those stones of other fine stone cutters, the stones are carefully worked into the different jewelry designs. His jewelry is beautiful silver, bronze or copper pieces set with with semi-precious stones; many which are hand-crafted cabochons selected from a private cache of raw stones.
While Craig is relatively new to the art world and prefers to stay behind the scenes in the studio, he does enjoy the challenges of event photography. A native of Iowa, Craig was exposed to ballooning while attending college in Indianola, IA.
