Step into a bygone era of grace and elegance with Dustin. Growing up in Idaho, Lyon's early years were filled with horses, farming, and the beauty of wildlife in a historically rich land. His paintings capture these subjects against the backdrop of the places he has traveled to.
Lyon's artistic journey began with a degree in Art Advertising from Ricks College, and he furthered his education at Boise State University. After college, he worked as a commercial artist until 1978 when he decided to dedicate himself fully to his art.
In 1996, Dustin moved to Arizona, where his artwork was showcased in various venues and galleries. In 1999, he completed two captivating historical murals in Scotts Valley, California. In January 2005, he proudly opened the D. Lyon Art Gallery, which remained in operation until 2011. The gallery temporarily closed when Dustin and his wife, Jessie, embarked on a mission to serve their church in Ghana, Africa. Upon their return, they settled back in Idaho. In 2019, Lyon completed a magnificent mural in Idaho Falls, depicting the city's rich history. His radiant artwork has been recognized with numerous awards and cherished by art collectors far and wide. Dustin now resides in Arizona full-time.
